Qualifications

  • Experience in welding is a bonus; no certification required.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and work-ready truck specifications.
  • Experience with shop tools including torches, plasma cutters, grinders and presses.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces.
  • Previous experience in truck upfitting or automotive fabrication is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Welding: Cut, shape and weld steel and aluminum components to customize truck frames, bodies and chassis.
  • Upfitting & Installation: Install specialized equipment, including liftgates, dump kits, service bodies and accessory packages.
  • Blueprints & Specs: Read & interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and work orders to ensure precise fabrication.
  • Safety & Quality Control: Adhere to safety protocols, inspect finished work for structural integrity and troubleshoot fitment issues.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
