Job summary

Reading Truck Group in the United States (Spring Hill, FL) is seeking a Truck Installation Technician to install specialty truck equipment under supervision. You will mount hitches, shelves, ladders, and other accessories, with basic weld experience a plus, while adhering to PPE standards.

The role offers a $2,250 sign-on bonus for qualified Technicians at level II–IV, and opportunities to train with other mechanics in a growing organization. Comprehensive benefits are provided across locations.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge required.
• Basic welding, electrical wiring and hydraulics skills.
• Ability to operate power hand tools and have basic personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies and accessories as directed.
• Follow safety rules and PPE.
• Mount hitches, shelves, and racks.
• Train with other mechanics as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

How You Will Make an Impact

A Truck Installation Technician at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to complete the installation of specialty truck equipment such as service utility bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Follow safety rules and comply with all PPE requirements.
• Install truck bodies, plows, commercial truck accessories
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Basic weld experience (helpful)
• Train with other mechanics as needed
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Required Credentials

• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Basic welding skills, electrical wiring, hydraulics, etc.
• Ability to operate power hand tools (and have basic tools)
