Description

To maintain the warehouse in an orderly and organized condition under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, and/or to assist the company truck driver in the delivery and pick-up of material under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, Transportation Group Leader, or the Director of Transportation, Facilities & Grounds.

Qualifications

• Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training, and job placement.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Unload cages and sort material as required for warehousing.
• Move material as required, using a pallet jack or hand truck.
• Accurately prepare and process salvage material for shipment.
• Assists driver in loading and unloading trucks on route and at plant.
• Accompany driver to delivery and pick-up points and move articles manually or with a hand truck.
• Be courteous and friendly in customer contacts.
• Assists driver in maintaining necessary materials and equipment needed for effective route service.
• Works under direct supervision of truck driver on routes.
• Maintain general good housekeeping and cleanliness of warehouse as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
