Job summary

Meyer Truck Equipment in Evansville, IN is seeking a Truck Equipment Installer to join our team. You will install bodies, equipment, and accessories on trucks and vans, and troubleshoot electrical systems with wiring and diagrams.

This full-time role offers daytime hours, competitive pay from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, and the chance to work with top manufacturers. Vocational training is preferred but not required; welding or AWS certification is a plus, and hydraulics knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• Vocational degree preferred but not required.
• Welding ability or willingness to obtain AWS certification.
• Wiring and electrical knowledge; ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Hydraulics knowledge (1-3 years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install truck bodies and equipment such as bed toppers, cranes, lighting, and accessories.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and read diagrams.
• Work in a shop environment with attention to quality and safety.
• Lift, install, and test components; ensure proper wiring.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Meyer Truck Equipment is growing and we are looking for a Truck Equipment Installer to join our incredible team at our Evansville location.

Installers help customers get the most out of their vehicles by outfitting trucks and vans with bodies, equipment, and accessories, such as bed covers/toppers, cranes, lighting, lift kits, shelving, racks/bins, power inverters, bumpers, grille guards, winches, snowplows/salt spreaders, and a whole lot more. Installers are troubleshooting wizards who are able to work effectively in a shop atmosphere with little oversight or guidance while churning out quality work. For this opening we are looking for someone who has wiring & electrical knowledge that will be required to install auxiliary equipment such as, Led Lighting, Strobe lights, inverters and various other equipment.

• Can take stuff apart and put it back together

• Isn't going to electrocute themselves because they are afraid to ask for help
• Is able to troubleshoot and read electrical diagrams
• Knows how to weld or would be willing to get an AWS certification
• Has knowledge of hydraulics (1-3 years experience preferred but not required)
• Has wiring and electrical knowledge

Work hours are 7:30 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay is based upon experience.
