Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineer to design, develop, and enhance truck mounted equipment, applying Inventor and AutoCAD to meet industry standards and client needs.

You will collaborate with production, QA, sales, and suppliers across the product lifecycle, perform design calculations, validate products, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop truck mounted equipment using Inventor and AutoCAD software and engineering principles
• Design, analyze, and improve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Develop new products from concept through production.
• Perform engineering calculations, design analysis, and product validation.
• Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
• Coordinate prototype fabrication, testing, and product validation.
• Develop test procedures and evaluate product performance.
• Investigate product failures and implement corrective design improvements.
• Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve production and assembly issues.
• Work closely with production, procurement, quality, sales, service, and suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare engineering documentation, specifications, manuals, and technical reports.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, service, and customers.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and company quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
