Job summary

Riceland Foods, Inc. is seeking a Truck Dump Operator to assist with unloading bulk grain trucks and maintain weights for inbound/outbound loads. You will operate conveyors, pits, and control panels, and train seasonal staff in safety and accuracy.

The role requires hands-on work with forklifts and heavy equipment, daily equipment inspections, and strict adherence to GMP and safety protocols. Team-oriented, with customer interactions on-site, this position offers growth within the grain handling

Qualifications

• Experience with grain handling and equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of weighing procedures is a plus.
• Willingness to operate forklifts and heavy machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate conveying equipment, legs, pits and control panels safely.
• Weigh inbound and outbound loads and maintain accuracy.
• Work within the rough rice system (RIMM) and sample truck bottoms.
• Greet farmers and visitors and represent the company professionally.
• Train temporary and seasonal workers in safety and accuracy.
• Perform sanitation tasks and basic maintenance; complete related paperwork.
• Operate forklift and heavy machinery; inspect equipment daily and report repairs.
• Assist with process improvements as directed by supervisor.
• Work in a team environment and follow GMPs and safety rules.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Riceland Foods is looking for a Truck Dump Operator. The Truck Dump Operator will help with the unloading of all bulk grain trucks.

Job Duties

• Possess thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance of conveying equipment, legs, pits, etc.
• Possess thorough knowledge of control panel switches, gates, and flow of rice to each bin.
• Display knowledge of weighing procedures, maintain accurately all inbound and outbound loads.
• Ability to operate within the rough rice system (RIMM)
• Ability to sample truck bottoms.
• Identify different grading factors of milled sample from truck bottoms.
• Greet and communicate with farmers and visitors and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Ability to train temporary and seasonal help to work safely and accurately.
• Maintain and complete all sanitation functions pertaining to work area and any other duties that may be assigned.
• Performs light maintenance work and a variety of sanitation duties.
• Operates forklift and heavy machinery.
• Performs daily inspection of equipment; notifies management of need for repairs.
• Completes all related paperwork.
• Recommend and implement process improvements as approved.
• Consult with Supervisor as required.
• Work within a team environment.
• Responsible for complying with all safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices set forth by the company and the government.
• Any other duties assigned by manager.

Education Requirements

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
