This position is responsible for operating tractor trailer belly dumps and maintaining the equipment properly to transport materials to designated locations in a timely manner. The role involves travel up to a 150-mile radius of Sioux City, IA, with overnight stays as required.

The starting wage is $24.10 per hour, with potential increases based on experience.

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with Saturday work as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Follow safe work procedures that comply with safety policies and regulations (Federal, state, local, and company policies).
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Maintain driver logs when applicable.
3. Perform daily maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning the truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, checking brakes, lights, and other instructed maintenance tasks.
4. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
5. Clean spilled material and buildup off the box, belt, and gates.
6. Verify that gates are securely closed.
7. Discharge products as required.
8. Maintain proper documentation in the truck cab pouch.
9. Accurately report information on daily timecards, truck cab information, and other necessary paperwork.
10. Support a safe and harassment-free work environment.
11. Communicate effectively (verbally, listening, and in writing).
12. Read maps and navigate to new locations.
13. Be self-motivated, a team player, and maintain a positive attitude, acting courteously and respectfully toward others.
14. Work independently with minimal supervision and recognize matters needing attention, initiating action accordingly.
15. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and the public.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

1. Class A CDL required; Hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred.
2. Medical card required.
3. Acceptable motor vehicle record.
4. Previous truck driving experience preferred.
5. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
