Job Description: DOT Driver Trainee

Our Food Division is a broad line multi-state distributor, and our Beverage Division operates throughout Texas, distributing Anheuser-Busch products, craft and import beers, spirits, and wines.

The DOT Driver Trainee will deliver products along assigned routes with multiple stops, maintaining delivery schedules and records in compliance with regulations. Upon successful completion of training, promotion to a Driver DOT position is expected.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver products along assigned routes with multiple stops of varying difficulty.
2. Read customer invoices to determine items for delivery.
3. Assemble customer orders for delivery.
4. Maintain delivery time windows for each stop.
5. Ensure accurate and damage-free delivery of products.
6. Obey traffic laws and follow transportation procedures.
7. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and report mechanical issues.
8. Maintain records such as vehicle logs and billing statements.
9. Report delays, accidents, or traffic situations to base.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL driver’s license.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and write routine reports.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and provide timely responses.
• Customer service knowledge.
• High School diploma or GED, with one year of related experience or training, or equivalent.
