Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Batavia, NY is seeking a NON CDL Truck Driver for local, home-daily routes. Earn weekly pay with 40+ hours, and enjoy benefits after 30 days. Truck types include box trucks with equipment like pallet jacks and lift gates.

Training is provided and routes are local within a 120-mile radius of Batavia. Benefit-rich role with PTO from day 1, uniforms and boot allowance, and 401(k) with company match after one year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment (box truck).
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within scope of local Batavia, NY routes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with loading/unloading freight as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.37 per Mile
• Solo Stops Pay:$12.00 per Stop
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday NO WEEKENDS
• Start Time: 6:00 AM- 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience

• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
  • 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
