Ryder System, Inc. in Richmond, CA is seeking a Class NON CDL Truck Driver for local home daily routes. Earn $28.00 per hour with an average of 50 hours per week, paid training, and weekly pay.

Start times: 5:00 am or 10:30 PM. The role includes local deliveries to Gilroy, Bay Area, Redding and Tahoe with reefer trailers and various equipment. Ryder offers comprehensive benefits after 30 days, PTO from day 1, uniform allowances, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualificações

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must follow safety regulations and instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Drive SOLO to local destinations (Gilroy, Bay Area, Redding & Tahoe).
• Local home daily routes.
• Operate Straight Truck with reefer and various trailer sizes.
• Load/unload freight as needed and maintain logs/records.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age




• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience




• Pass a Ryder Drug Test




• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):




• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR




• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR




• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years




• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years




• Pass a DOT physical




• Pass a Ryder road test




• Must have a valid driver’s license




• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions




• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.




• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:




• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines




• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards




• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer



• Other tasks as assigned
