Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., a CRH company, seeks a skilled Truck Driver to operate in Alabama. You will load/unload materials, perform pre/post trips, maintain records, and communicate on the radio with teams to ensure timely deliveries.

The role calls for at least one year of related experience, Class B license, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. You’ll join a safety‑driven, team‑oriented workforce in a large, nationwide construction materials company.

Qualifications

• Requires Class B license and at least 1 year of related driving experience.
• Ability to operate truck safely and efficiently.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions and maintain time/material records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload materials to residential and commercial locations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; perform minor servicing as needed.
• Load and unload large quantities of water for compaction and dust control.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and report major problems to supervisor.
• Communicate effectively and be a team player.

This is a skilled position requiring at least one year of related experience. This individual will need to be able to operate efficiently. Driver will deliver all types of soils, aggregates and other materials to locations both residential and commercial. This position requires the ability to make pre and post trip inspections, oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to the Truck, and lift/move transported materials as needed.

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 30 lbs and be able to climb, sit/drive, shift gears, cover/uncover loads, change wheels, adjust lugs, use hand tools such as wrenches/screwdrivers

• Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading large quantities of water for compaction and/or dust control.

• The driver is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
