Job summary

Meijer is seeking CDL-A drivers for local, home-daily routes within the Midwest. You will safely operate Class A trucks, deliver freight on schedule, and handle vendor backhauls while maintaining a customer-first mindset.

This full-time role offers predictable home time and opportunities for advancement. Qualified candidates will have CDL-A, Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain, and at least one year of driving experience or completion of an accredited CDL program.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL-A license and Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain.
• One year of truck driving experience or completion of an accredited CDL training program.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, road test, and pre-employment drug screen.
• No moving violations within the last year and no more than two in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.
• Deliver freight from distribution centers to stores on schedule.
• Transport vendor backhauls to distribution centers.
• Perform yard switching and trailer movements as needed.
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations.
• Represent Meijer with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.

Required Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid CDL‑A license
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one
• One year of truck driving experience or successful completion of an accredited CDL training program

• No moving violations within the last year
• No more than two moving violations within the last three years
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
