Job summary

Jones Lumber Company, located in Mississippi, is seeking a dependable truck driver to transport logs from various logging jobs to our Lumber Yards and Mills. The ideal candidate will have a current CDL-A and at least 2 years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL-A.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Must have at least 2 years driving experience or 6 months driving experience with completion of an accredited driving school course.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Haul logs from various logging jobs to Lumber Yards and Mills.
• Ensure vehicle is safely loaded and secure.

Overview

Jones Lumber Company is looking for a dependable and experienced truck driver to haul logs from various logging jobs to our Lumber Yards and Mills. Driver will be paid on a percentage of what the truck grosses.

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL-A
• Must be at least 23 years old
• Must have at least 2 years driving experience and have been driving within the last 3 years (or) 6 months driving experience with completion of an accredited Commercial Driving School course.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 3 years
• DUI, DWI, and other more severe offenses are considered after 5 years from the date of conviction

• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
• Ability to exert muscle force when strapping or tarping loads
