Summary

Drives truck with capacity of less than thirteen tons to transport donated materials to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive truck to destinations and collection sites, drop off and/or pick up materials.
  • Load bins, gaylords, and other items into trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution, forming a compact load, and securing materials during transit.
  • Maintain a truck log indicating arrival and departure times.
  • Remove donated items and trash from store collection sites to maintain cleanliness.
  • Unload merchandise from trucks and donation centers to designated areas.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies according to DOT pre-trip requirements.
  • Report truck malfunctions or problems to the Director, Transportation & Logistics.
  • Report security or theft issues to management.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Empties trash bins and transports waste to disposal area.
  • Work cooperatively with rehabilitation staff to guide persons served in the work area.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Transportation & Logistics Supervisor.
