Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver in Elgin, Texas. The role covers daily home time with routes to Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Temple, and Dallas, with day cab automatics and flatbed trailers.

Start at 4:00 AM, Monday–Friday plus two Saturdays monthly, and earn weekly pay with bonus opportunities. Benefits start after 30 days, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 80 hours of PTO in year one, uniforms, boot/phone allowances, and a 401(k) with company match after

• 21 years of age or older.
• Verifiable CDL history and endorsements.

Class A CDL Home Daily Truck Driver in Elgin, Texas. Weekly pay of $1,450 – $1,750 with opportunities for up to $3,400 in bonuses, plus comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Key Pay & Benefits

• Weekly pay: $1,450 – $1,750
• Daily solo mileage pay: $0.6646 per mile
• Solo stop pay: $21.7908 per stop

Job Details

• Routes: Home Daily to Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Temple, Dallas
• Tractor: Day Cab Automatics
• Trailer: Flatbed (preferred experience, but will train)
• Equipment: Palfinger Moffett (experience preferred, but will train)
• Freight: Touch – Brick and Building Materials, Strapping, no tarping
• Schedule: Monday – Friday and two Saturdays a month; start time 4:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide an appropriate Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Verifiable Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
