Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is looking for a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Elgin, Texas. This role involves home daily routes and offers an average weekly pay of $1450 along with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid training.

Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including a minimum of 21 years of age and pass various tests. Additional perks include 80 hours of PTO and 12 weeks of paid maternity leave.

Qualifications

• Pass a DOT physical.
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Elgin, Texas – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Average weekly pay: $1450

• Driver Positions Pay: Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.6646 per Mile
• Solo Stops Pay: $21.7908 per stop
• Up to $3400 per year in bonuses
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday and two Saturdays a month
• Start Time: 4:00 AM

Routes:

• Deliver SOLO to: Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Temple, Dallas
• Route: Home Daily
• Tractor Type: Day Cab Automatics
• Trailer Type: Flatbed (preferred, but will train)
• Equipment: Palfinger Moffett
• Moffett/Forklift experience preferred
• Freight: Touch – Brick and Building Materials, strapping, no tarping

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
