Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Grimes, IA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a home-daily route with a Monday–Friday schedule. Expect weekly pay, 40 hours per week, paid training, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Drive 16–26 ft straight trucks on dedicated routes with supportive team guidance. Applicants should have at least 6 months of verifiable driving experience, a valid license, and pass a Ryder drug test.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass Ryder Drug Test.
• DOT physical required and pass Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle and comply with safety regulations.
• Support loading/unloading as required and maintain accurate records.
• Follow state and federal laws and company policies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road testMust have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
