Job summary

Penske Logistics in Coppell, TX is hiring Full-time Class B CDL Truck Drivers for a late-model automatic straight truck route delivering auto parts to retail stores. This home-daily, high-mileage route offers ~45 stops per week with touch freight and a consistent weekday schedule.

Qualifying candidates must have a valid Class B CDL with airbrake, a current DOT medical card, 1 year of driving in last 5 years, clean DMV/MVR, and English proficiency.

• Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement; domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required
• At least 1 year of relevant commercial driving experience in the last 5 years
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years
• English language proficiency required
• Work the required schedule, background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Deliver auto parts to retail stores on a dedicated route
• Complete approximately 45 stops per week using a pallet jack and hand truck
• Perform touch freight deliveries with consistent routes and customers
• Operate a dedicated route with reliable weekday deliveries

• Average $82400 annually

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Automatic straight truck equipment

What you will do:

• Deliver auto parts to retail stores on a dedicated route
• Complete approximately 45 stops per week using a pallet jack and hand truck
• Perform touch freight deliveries with consistent routes and customers
• Operate a dedicated route with reliable weekday deliveries

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday schedule
• Dispatch at 8:00 PM (varies) until completion
• Home daily with no layovers
• Approximately 70 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Valid Class B CDL Airbrake endorsement required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years required
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
