Penske Logistics in Swedesboro, NJ is hiring CDL Class A Yard Drivers for full-time, home daily positions. You will drive late-model Penske trucks with safety cameras and a 2 PM start on Monday–Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.

Expect responsibilities moving trailers, coupling/uncoupling, and securing loads. The company offers comprehensive benefits from day one, including paid vacation, health coverage, retirement plans, uniforms, and a driver referral bonus.

Competenze

• Valid Class A CDL required; must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years (or 2 years in past 5).
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations/accidents.
• English proficiency required by federal regulations.

Mansioni

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers when spotted for loading/unloading and pull from doors.

What you will do:

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management


• Couple and uncouple trailers


• Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday


• 2PM start time

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence


• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required


• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years


• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents


• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines


• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job


• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency


• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.


• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.


• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
