Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Jacksonville, FL is hiring full-time Local Class A CDL Yard Truck Drivers. Earn $24 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 2 PM start, with home daily and a comprehensive benefits package.

Drive late model Penske trucks, with safety features and in-cab cameras. You will move trailers, couple/uncouple, and assist with loading/unloading as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required and applicants must be domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card is required (non-excepted interstate)
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• Clean DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency to meet federal requirements
• Ability to work the stated schedule and pass background/drug screening

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
• Couple and uncouple trailers
• Chock trailers as spotted for loading/unloading and pull from doors
• Cover deliveries as needed

What you will do:

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management


• Couple and uncouple trailers


• Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors


• Cover deliveries as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence


• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required


• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years


• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents


• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency


• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.


• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
