Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is hiring for Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in Merrillville, IN. Get home daily with a five-day workweek and 45–55 hours weekly. Average pay around $120,000 annually with performance incentives up to $10,400, plus comprehensive benefits.

Drivers operate late-model Penske trucks, with safety features and in-cab cameras. Daily pay, retirement plans, and generous vacation/holidays are included. Must meet DOT and company requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) is required.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency required by federal law.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships.
• Unload trailers using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Use scanner to track products during unload and delivery.
• Complete 8–10 stops per route.

What you will do:

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships


• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages


• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered


• 8-10 stops per route

Schedule:

• Dispatch times range from 8PM to 11:59PM


• 5 day schedule, Monday - Friday


• Average 45 to 55 hours per week


• Home daily

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence


• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required


• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years


• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents


• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency


• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.


• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
