Ryder is hiring a Class A Truck Driver in Niagara Falls, NY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

You will work local yard shifts with no-touch freight, receive structured training, and follow a schedule of Thursday through Sunday and every other Wednesday, starting at 6:00 PM. Benefits include medical coverage after 30 days and outsourced retirement options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 years OR 5 years in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and on public roads.
• Complying with safety and DOT regulations, and undergoing continuous training and customer service.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $28.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 36 - 48 hours per week
• Retention Bonus- 2 - 4 years $1,000/per year. 5-9 years $2,000/year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads
• The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

Additional Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records Other tasks as assigned

Requirements
