Description

The truck driver position involves performing a range of routine and complex transportation duties, including driving and coordinating transportation plans to support the Construction Division. When not driving, the employee may assist with laboring on job sites.

Requirements:

• MUST possess a valid CDL CLASS A or B driver's License

Essential Functions

• Operate construction vehicles, including hauling, dumping, and snowplowing.
• Plan routes to optimize time and equipment use.
• Transport road construction materials from storage to job sites.
• Assist with road preparation, including digging holes and trenches.
• Operate small equipment such as jackhammers, brush clippers, and mowers to maintain streets and utilities.
• Plow snow and salt roads in accordance with departmental policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting defects or repairs to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety and security standards.
• Contribute as a team member and assist with various job tasks as needed.
