Job description

D.L. George & Sons Transportation Company is seeking skilled Class A CDL Truck Drivers to deliver to our customers in Frederick and Baltimore Maryland and Myerstown Pennsylvania. Our dry bulk tankers are gravity operated. Easy loading and easy unloading! If you want to be home daily, have a great pay check and excellent benefits apply today.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate a tractor trailer to pick up and deliver dry bulk materials
• Follow a predetermined schedule of pick up and delivery (single drop and return); maintain short haul (exempt) logs. No ELD required!
• Ability to maneuver and back truck in a safe manner
• Ability to operate dump valves
• Ability to complete required documentation
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, including lights, brakes, fuel, oil and coolant, raising hood, climb to clean windshield and mirrors
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Physical Requirements:

• Meet Department of Transportation medical, drug and alcohol qualifications
• Operation of vehicle up to 10 hours per day depending on schedule, 40-60 hours per week, less than 12 hours daily
• Cranking dolly legs on trailers when hooking up and dropping
• Open and close valves to handle material
• Climb 3 feet with steps to hook airlines
• May be required to work in adverse weather

Requirements:

• Class A CDL
• 21 years old-minimum
• DMV records 3 years back

Experience:
