Truck Driver (Class A) (Transportation)

Position: Truck Driver

Primary Operational Objective: The Semi/Tandem Truck Driver's main goal is to safely deliver or haul landscape materials to various job sites, providing excellent customer service while operating a commercial motor vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Safely and efficiently deliver/haul products.
2. Operate trucks according to manufacturer guidelines.
3. Communicate any service interruptions, such as road closures, accidents, or hazards, to dispatch.
4. Follow route assignments as directed.
5. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and mechanical write-ups to maintain equipment.
6. Collaborate with the Material/Transportation Manager to improve route efficiency.
7. Report accidents, incidents, or injuries immediately.
8. Operate front-end loaders as needed.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; use lifting equipment or a two-person lift for heavier loads.
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching, and standing.
• Work in extremely hot and cold temperatures.
