Walker White Mechanical is seeking a dependable Truck Driver to transport materials and equipment to job sites across the Columbia area. A Class A or B CDL is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety, logs, and on-time deliveries.

The role supports project teams by ensuring timely materials delivery, loading/unloading, and vehicle inspections, with opportunities for growth within a safety-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• CDL Class A or B preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR, background, and pre-employment checks.
• Experience operating flatbed trucks, box trucks, trailers, or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in warehouse, yard, and construction sites.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
• Load, secure, and unload materials using proper safety procedures.
• Verify deliveries and maintain logs, receipts, and transportation records.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with warehouse operations, inventory management, and material staging as needed.
• Support field crews by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent Walker White Mechanical positively.
• Help maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work environment.

Position Summary

The Truck Driver plays a vital role in ensuring our project teams have the materials and equipment they need to keep projects moving efficiently. This position requires a reliable professional who takes pride in safe driving practices, excellent communication, and outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license required
• CDL Class A or B preferred

• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly

• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Construction, HVAC, mechanical, or building materials experience is a plus but not required
