2nd shift position - hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
PURPOSE OF ROLE: Onsite driver will assist the production department by operating the bulk truck for loading and unloading of material for internal pack outs and projects on company campus. Driver will leave the campus for fuel purposes and to take truck to repair shop. Overall responsibility of the driver will be on campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle and equipment are corrected before operation.
- Unload material from railcars by verifying railcar numbers and other instructions provided on the specific work order.
- Clean/blown down bulk truck between each product change.
- Unload material from railcars into onsite bulk trucks.
- Unload material from bulk truck into designated silo.
- Unload material from bulk truck through the fines system removal equipment.
- Unload material from bulk truck into the railcars.
- Verify and report when railcar is empty by completing the appropriate forms.
- Confirm that cargo is properly arranged and balanced within the truck.
- Assist with set-up and relocation of ocean containers.
- General inspection of the vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
- Report to the appropriate personnel any issues or low performance of the onsite bulk trucks and other trailer equipment.
- Use the dedicated supplies – catch basins, tarps, etc.to prevent and capture resin spills by railcar tracks and other loading/unloading areas.
- Conduct all work following safety and procedural policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training; or comparable combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as work orders, packaging request, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Must have a valid CDL License, class A with a clean driving record.
- Must pass the DOT Medical Examination, background check and drug screen.
- Must have knowledge of current DOT regulations.
- Proven work experience as a truck driver.
- Must be able to work weekends when necessary.
- Adaptability and foresight to manage unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to sit for long periods of time while driving.
- Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to climb in and out of the truck.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel to perform maintenance on the equipment.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and peripheral vision.

Montgomery Illinois Distribution warehouse.

Salary Range: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
