Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking CDL Class B drivers for full-time, home daily positions in Joliet, IL. You will perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealerships using Penske-maintained trucks and in-cab cameras, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Expect an average yearly pay around $68,724 with additional incentives up to $10,400 annually and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Schedule includes a Tuesday–Saturday, 50-hour work week, with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with Airbrake endorsement required.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience in last 5 years.
• DMV/MVR with <=2 moving violations in last 3 years.
• English language proficiency required by federal law.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies.
• Unload trailer using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Use scanner to record products as they are unloaded and delivered.

What you will do:

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Schedule:

• Dispatch time 12:00am to 12:30am
• 5 day schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
• Avg. 50 hours per week
• Home Daily

• Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

• Valid Class B CDL Airbrake endorsement required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years required
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
