Job summary

Penske is hiring full-time Class B Delivery Truck Drivers for home daily routes in Indiana. Average annual earnings around $65,468 with performance incentives up to $10,400. Drive late-model Penske trucks on dedicated routes, with a 12:00 am–9:30 am schedule Tuesday through Saturday and roughly 45 hours weekly.

Expect to unload, scan, and deliver parts to automotive dealerships, using pallet jacks and rolling cages. English proficiency and a valid CDL B with airbrake endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with Airbrake endorsement required.
• U.S. domicile and state license required.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required.
• At least 1 year of documented commercial driving in last 5 years.
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations or accidents in 3 years.
• English language proficiency is required by federal law.

What you will do:

Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships

Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages

Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Schedule:

12 am to 9:30 am Tuesday through Saturday

Average 45 hours per week

Home daily

You will drive:

Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

Valid Class B CDL Airbrake endorsement required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required

1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years required

3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency

Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
