Job summary

Penske is hiring CDL Class B Truck Drivers for a local, home-daily, dedicated route. You will drive late-model Penske trucks, delivering parts to automotive dealers and maintaining top safety and service standards.

You’ll start on a Tuesday–Saturday schedule with a 2:00 AM start, and you’ll receive comprehensive health, retirement, disability, and life coverage, plus vacation, uniforms, and referral bonuses. Opportunities for career growth are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
• Licensed in the U.S. and able to obtain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealerships.
• Unload trailer using pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Use scanner to log products during unloading and delivery.
• Complete 3 stops and 1 transfer per route.

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort

What you will do:

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
• 3 stops and 1 transfers per route

Schedule

• Tuesday through Saturday
• 2:00 AM start time

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL Airbrake endorsement required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years required
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
