Job summary

Boston Globe Media is seeking CDL Class B Drivers to join our Distribution Team in Taunton. Delivery routes cover local and regional areas across greater New England with a 3rd shift that may include weekends and holidays.

The position starts with 2 month training, and the union position is covered by the Teamsters. We offer generous healthcare benefits, access to a Local 25 Teamster Union, and a starting hourly rate of $32.72.

Qualifications

• Valid DOT Medical Certificate must be presented in interview.
• RMV Driving Record must be presented in interview.
• Class B CDL required.
• Criminal Background check required.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to ingress/egress truck throughout shift.
• Pallet jack and forklift ability; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver within greater New England.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift as needed.
• Work third shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Coordinate with hiring manager on training schedule during interviews.

• Positions are available for 3rd shift and will include weekends and holidays

• Membership to Local 25 Teamster Union with monthly dues will be required after the probationary period
• Position will start out in 2 month training - training schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager in the interview

Qualifications:

• Valid DOT Medical Certificate - must be presented in interview

• Class B CDL
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Physically able to get in and out of the truck throughout shift at delivery locations
• Able to operate pallet jack and forklift a plus. We will train for certification.

We are currently looking to fill positions in our Taunton Facility. Trucking routes include local and regional.

The hourly rate for this position starts at $32.72.
