Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Columbus, OH, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

You’ll drive solo on routes to OH, MI, IN, KY, WV, NY (Upstate) with a Sleeper, Refrigerators, and Dry Van trailers. Ryder trains you on all equipment and pays for training, with PTO from Day 1 and a company-wide safety culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

$1900 weekly average with top drivers earning $2300-2500 weekly

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.67 per Mile with 1250 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$20.08 per Stop with 15 - 30 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $51.25 per night with 3 - 4 nights per Week
• Touch Freight Pay: $0.18 per piece with 2000+ Tire pieces per Week
• Tenure Bonus: $1000 annually
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Start Time: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Disptach Window

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
