Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Columbus, OH to join a team with weekly pay, strong benefits, and a driven culture focused on safety. You will operate 36-month or newer trucks on regional routes across states east of the Mississippi, with automatic sleepers and dry van equipment.

Expect 2300+ miles weekly, per diem, and various bonuses along with paid training. A structured schedule (Sunday–Friday) and a path to 401(k) with company match support your long-term driving career with

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle (9 months past 3 years or 2 years past 5 years or 5 years past 10 years).
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Structure

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.57 per Mile with 2300+ Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $23.00 per Stop with 12 - 15 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $52.00 per night with 4 - 5 nights per Week
• Safety Bonus: Pays You Up to $1250 per year
• Loyalty Bonus: Pays you $4000 paid out $2000 at 6 months $2000 at 1 year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday - Friday
• Dispatch Time: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
• Sunday Evening Load Pickup

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.
