Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Columbus, OH is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join a regional, sleeper-tractor fleet. Position offers weekly pay, with 50+ hours weekly, per-mile and per-stop pay, and generous benefits after 30 days.

You will run East Coast/Northeast regional routes, with 48'/53' curtainside or flatbed trailers, and start times around 7:00 am. Paid training and retirement options are included as part of a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background checks, including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
• Must be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and company rules.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Assist loading/unloading freight if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hours Per Week: 50 + hours per week
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.78 per Mile with 2100 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$35.00 per Stop with 4 - 5 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $60 per night with 2 - 3 nights per Week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday- Thursday
• Start Time:1st Delivery at 7:00 am

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
