Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring full-time Home Daily Class A CDL truck drivers in Palos Hills, IL. Late-model Penske trucks and best-in-class specs are provided, with in-cab cameras for safety.

You will deliver grocery freight dock-to-dock and unload/store products while staying professional with customers. Multiple schedules and start times are available, including Tue-Sat and Sun-Thu; $5,000 sign-on bonus, up to $10,400 in incentives, and a $3,000 annual safety bonus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all laws, regulations, standards and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
• English language proficiency required.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• DOT safety sensitive role with responsibility for safety.

Responsibilities

• Average earnings of $95000 annually
• $5000 Sign-On Bonus

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• Equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain, including freezer, cooler, and dry products
• All deliveries are dock-to-dock with no pallet breakdowns required
• Unload and stage product in designated store areas
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

Schedule:

• Multiple schedules and start times available, including Tuesday through Saturday, Sunday through Thursday, and Weekend Wrap (Friday through Monday) options.
• Current openings include 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 9:00 PM start times.
• $200 Saturday Premium paid for working a Saturday, regardless of start time.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
