Job summary

Penske Logistics in Dwight, IL is hiring full-time Class A CDL truck drivers for home daily routes delivering grocery freight to a major grocery chain. Late-model Penske trucks with in-cab cameras support safe, dock-to-dock deliveries and daily time at home.

Average earnings are $95,000 annually with a $5,000 sign-on bonus, incentives up to $10,400, a $3,000 safety incentive, and a driver referral program up to $5,000 per referral. Schedule options include Tue–Sat with a 10:00 PM start.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1–2 years tractor-trailer experience in recent years or 2+ years in last 5 years.
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations; able to pass background checks and drug screen.
• English language proficiency required; able to work the stated schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain, including freezer, cooler, and dry products.
• Dock-to-dock deliveries with no pallet breakdowns required.
• Unload and stage product in designated store areas.
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with customers.

What you will do:

• Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain, including freezer, cooler, and dry products
• All deliveries are dock-to-dock with no pallet breakdowns required
• Unload and stage product in designated store areas
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

Schedule:

• Tuesday through Saturday schedule available.
• Current opening includes an 10:00 PM start time.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
