Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team in Mount Vernon, IL. This full-time role involves regional travel to support operations at multiple sites and to deliver automotive parts to retail stores.

You will complete multi-stop routes, unload freight with pallet jacks and hand trucks, and use a scanner to verify deliveries. Schedule is Monday–Friday with travel as needed; Penske provides hotel accommodations and a rental car when traveling.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in home state.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Must meet federal/state laws, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is essential.
• Role requires English language proficiency.
• Drug screening and background check required.

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers

• Average $90000+ annually
• $5000 sign-on bonus
• Monday though Friday schedule; no over-the-road driving
• Regional travel position with paid travel time
• $100 layover pay and $50 per diem when traveling
• Hotel accommodations and rental car provided
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire

What you will do:

• Travel regionally to support operations at various locations as needed
• Deliver automotive parts and supplies to retail stores
• Complete multi-stop routes
• Unload freight using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use a scanner to track and verify deliveries

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Dispatch times vary based on assigned route
• Travel to assigned locations and work there for the duration of the assignment
• Hotel accommodations and rental car provided when traveling

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
