Job summary

Penske Logistics, a nationwide logistics leader, is hiring full-time CDL-A Truck Drivers for home daily routes in Bloomfield, CT. You will drive late-model Penske trucks, handle pre-stacked dollies, and deliver to customer locations with a focus on safety and customer service.

Expect 5-15 stops weekly, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and life insurance. Training opportunities and nationwide mobility are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5.
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is required.
• This role requires English language proficiency.
• Schedule, location, background check and drug screening are required.
• Role is safety sensitive under DOT; must work safely and attentively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bread products to customer locations using pre-stacked wheeled dollies and manage roll-off deliveries and returns.
• No store deliveries required.
• Unload palletized product as needed with an electric pallet jack.
• Provide outstanding customer service with a professional demeanor.
• Average 5-15 stops per week.
• Some routes include deliveries throughout Brooklyn.

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Deliver bread products to customer locations using pre-stacked wheeled dollies, providing efficient roll-off deliveries and roll-on returns
• No store deliveries required
• Unload palletized product as needed using an electric pallet jack
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
• Average 5-15 stops per week
• Some routes include deliveries throughout Brooklyn

Schedule:

• Consistent 5-day work week
• Dispatch times between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM
• Tuesday and Saturday off
• Sixth-day incentive available for additional earning opportunities

• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years

• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
