Job summary

Penske Logistics in Washington state is hiring CDL Class A drivers for layover and home positions with weekly pay and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. You will deliver palletized grocery freight across WA and OR, with overtime after 40 hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Apprenticeships are available for new drivers; walk-ins welcome at scheduled interviews. Expect 5-day weeks with two consecutive days off, daily home time in many roles, safety-focused training, and modern Penske equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card required (non-excepted interstate).
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience (last 3 years) or 2 years (last 5 years).
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Safety-sensitive role; maintain alertness and safety at all times.

What you will do:

• Deliver palletized grocery freight throughout WA and OR
• Light-touch freight to end of trailer with electric pallet jack, no hand unload

Schedule:

• 5-day work week (weekends required)
• 2 consecutive days off each week
• Various dispatch times available

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety
• Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
