Job summary

Penske seeks CDL Class A Truck Drivers for full-time, home daily routes on various dedicated accounts in the Seattle area. You will perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealers, unload goods, and scan items as they are delivered.

Hazmat endorsement is required at hire with overtime after 40 hours. Eligible drivers receive comprehensive benefits, paid time off from day one, retirement plans, health coverage, disability and life insurance, uniforms, and an employee discount program.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required and applicants must be domiciled in the U.S.
• English language proficiency as mandated by federal regulation.
• Willing to obtain DOT medical card and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealerships using Penske trucks.
• Unload trailers with pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Scan products as they are unloaded and delivered.
• Operate on home-daily schedules across varied accounts.

Earn $37 per hour

Overtime after 40 hours

Doubles and Hazmat endorsement required upon hire

Additional performance incentives available, up to $10400 annually

What you will do:

Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts as needed

Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships

Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages

Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Schedule:

Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required

1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years

3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.

Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
