Job summary

Ryder in La Mirada, CA is hiring a Class B Truck Driver for local, home daily deliveries. Earn weekly pay with medical benefits, and paid training. Expected 40–45 hours weekly with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Start times range from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM, with local routes to Southern California and equipment including Stake Straight Truck/26' trailer. Ryder supports safety and growth, offering uniforms and boot allowances, 401(k) with company match, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background check including last 3 years.
• Must have CDL and endorsements for Class A or Class B vehicle.
• 6–12 months of flatbed or stake truck experience preferred, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay and Schedule

$1400 or more per week - And it gets better

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.87 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 40 - 45 hours per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday NO WEEKENDS
• Start Time: 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM

Truck Information

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
