Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Irwindale, CA for local home daily deliveries with a 40+ hour week and a starting wage of $27.00 per hour. Weekly pay, paid training, and comprehensive benefits are provided starting after 30 days.

Position includes Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire, 36 months or newer trucks, 24/7 roadside maintenance, and a strong emphasis on safety and career growth within a national network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years; 2 years within past 5 years; or 5 years within past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting when required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Forklift Experience Required

Equipment: Pallet Jack, Hand Truck and Forklift

Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
