Job summary

Long Island City Construction Co. is seeking an experienced full-time driver with a CDL-B license to support material and equipment deliveries across New York City, including Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island.

Starting at 5:00am, expect Monday–Friday shifts with possible Saturday overtime. Upon hire, union membership is required with a $100 joining fee and $60 monthly dues; starting pay is $25.97/hour with overtime after 40 hours, plus medical coverage and an annuity plan after a waiting period.

Qualifications

• CDL-B license required.
• Experience delivering to construction sites.
• Ability to start early and work M-F with occasional Saturday overtime.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials and equipment to NYC construction sites.
• Operate commercial class flatbed trucks with automatic transmissions.

Job description

Job Description Long Island City based Construction Company seeking an experienced full time driver with a CDL- Class B License. Responsibilities included delivering material and equipment to various construction sites in New York City, Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island. Vehicles used for deliveries include commercial class flatbed trucks with automatic transmissions.

Drivers must be able to:

• Provide a current and clean Driver's License
• Work Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday Overtime
• Start as early as 5:00am

Upon hire, membership in Ironworkers Union Local 852 is required. Fee to join the union is $100. Monthly union dues of $60 are also required.

Starting Salary is $25.97 per hour with overtime paid at a rate of time and one half for all hours worked beyond forty hours. After a designated waiting period benefits included medical coverage and an annuity plan.
