Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Northridge, CA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to shuttle equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities. This local route offers weekly pay, home daily time, and comprehensive benefits.

You will drive a manual transmission tractor-trailer, adhere to DOT regulations, and maintain accurate logs with safety as a top priority. Eligible drivers receive PTO from day one and a 401k match after a year.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with endorsements as required.
• 21+ years old minimum.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background check, and DOT physical.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission tractor-trailer.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs and required records.
• Provide safe and reliable shuttle service between Ryder facilities.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $22.75 Per Hour
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: 6:00 AM

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight: No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement
• Must be able to operate Manual transmission

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physicalPass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
