Ryder System, Inc. in Wilkes-Barre, PA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. This role offers weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days, and a path to a long-term driving career.

You’ll operate day cab tractors, haul dry van freight regionally, and start on a schedule from 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Ryder provides paid training, Hazmat endorsement assistance within 90 days, and a strong safety culture.

Formación

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire or training support provided.
• Pass Ryder Drug Test and background/motor vehicle checks.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Class A verifiable experience in tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months to 5 years experience in the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading when required by customer.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.715 per Mile with 1650 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$24.00 per Stop with 20 Stops per Week
• Premium Pay: $75.00 for Burrough trip
• Per Diem Pay: $70.00 per layover, 2 - 3 nights per week
• Overnight for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Start Time: 2:00 AM - 4:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
