Tractors are sleepers with APUs and dry van/Conestoga trailers; endorsements including Passport; comprehensive benefits after 30 days and 401(k) with company match after a year.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with valid endorsements.
• 9 months of tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in 5 years, or 5 years in 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Load/unload freight as required by customer.

Pay

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Averaging $1850 per week
• Safety Bonus:Pays You $250 Every Quarter
• Loyalty Bonus:Pays you $2000 at 6 months and $2000 at 1 year

Routes & Equipment

• Deliver SOLOTo:From North Dakota to Texas and all states east as well as Canada.
• Tractor Type: Sleepers with APUs
• TrailerType:Dry Van and Conestoga Experience Preferred
• Companion Policy: Bring a person and/or pet on the road with you!
• Load Securement: Strapping
• Freight: Touch - Hand Unloading is Required
• Freight Type: Commercial and Residential Garage Doors
• Endorsements: Passport - Within 90 Days of Hire
• Home at least every other weekend.

Truck Details

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
