Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver. The role offers weekly pay, $25.50/hour, overtime after 40 hours, and per diem with a supportive benefits package.

Homes away from home up to 85% of the time on long routes across the Eastern US. Training is provided; you will drive a mix of sleeper and straight trucks. Applicants need a valid Class A CDL and meeting Ryder's safety and background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $25.50 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Loyalty Bonus:Pays You $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: Around 6:00 AM
