Job summary

Ryder in DeKalb, IL is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The position features weekly pay, a $1,796.70 base weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days. Routes include Indiana, South Dakota, Kansas and Missouri with a 5-day schedule (Mon-Fri).

Expect pay components such as per mile, per stop, per diem, and bonuses including sign-on and tenure bonuses. Ryder emphasizes safety and long-term career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check incl. Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months past 3 years, 2 years past 5 years, or 5 years past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records/logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.67 per Mile with a weekly average of 1560 Miles
• Solo Stops Pay: $17.03 per Stop with a weekly average of 21 Stops
• Per Diem Pay: $51.25 per night with 4 - 5 nights per Week
• Touch Freight Pay: $0.17 per piece with an average 1750 pieces per Week
• Sign On Bonus: Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 on 1 Year Anniversary
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
