Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Corvallis, OR to run regional routes and the Western 11 states. You will earn weekly pay with comprehensive benefits, including per diem and overtime after 40 hours.

Ryder offers paid training, a tenure bonus, and a supportive driving career. Must hold a valid Class A CDL with endorsements and have 9 months to 5 years of verifiable experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a Ryder drug test and background check.
• DOT physical and road test required.
• Class A CDL with endorsements for the position.
• 9 months to 2 years experience (or 5 years) within specified periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and Ryder standards.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Load/unload freight as required; assist with loading/unloading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
