Ryder System, Inc. in Naugatuck, CT is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver with a regional, weekday schedule. Expect weekly pay, full benefits after 30 days, and opportunities to earn more through miles, stops, and per diem. Training is provided and safety is prioritized.

Drivers operate day cabs with routes to MA, CT, NY, PA, NJ and Long Island. The role includes strong pay potential and an emphasis on driver safety and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Provide a valid CDL with endorsements for the position.
• Class A verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• 9 months experience in last 3 years, OR 2 years in last 5 years, OR 5 years in last 10 years.
• Pass Ryder drug test, Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification from previous employers (3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.64 per Mile with 1000 - 1200 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$25.00 per Stop with 30 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $50 per night with 1 - 2 nights per Week
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Rental Cars Provided and/or Mileage paid for personal vehicle over 30 miles
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday NO WEEKENDS
• Start Time: Between 4:00 am and 6:00 am Dispatch

Requirements
